What is PRF?
PRF is a injectable product that is derived from your own blood and is completely free of any other byproducts or components. The PFR is prepared by first drawing your blood into specially design collection tubes then centrifuging it in a specially designed centrifuge. The PRF is then separated out from the RBC and is ready for injection. The PRF contains platelets, growth factors, Stem cells and unlike PRP also contains fibrin.
What is the difference between PRF and PRP?
There are 2 factors that differentiate PRF from PRP and make it the more desirable product to use:
PRF tubes only contain your blood nothing else, unlike PRF that contains anticoagulants and often separators.
PRF when injected forms a fibrin mesh that holds the platelets in place for about 10 days allowing it to have effects over about 10 days vs PRP who's activity to stimulate lasts hours.
How does PRF work?
PRF works by stimulating your bodies own innate abilities to rejuvenate itself?
How many sessions are required?
Usually and initial 2-3 treatments are recommended at 4-6 week intervals and then maintenance treatments every 6-12 months.
What is the cost?
The cost varies depending on the amount of areas and type of areas being treated but starts at $800/treatment.
How is the PRF injected?
The PRF can be injected through micro-needling , cannulas or hypodermic needles depending on the depth or area being treated.
